2025 Livingston Awards finalist investigation exposing cronyism and wasteful spending in Dauphin County led officials to replace the county's longtime lobbying firm, cancel controversial contracts and save taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars.
-
Led a five-part investigation exposing how county officials awarded nearly 100 grants to private businesses — including some connected to their friends or family — while nonprofits and government agencies went underfunded. The reporting prompted the county to completely overhaul the program, including barring businesses from applying and implementing oversight measures to make sure the money is used appropriately.

- Reporting on people throughout the U.S. competing for scarce spots on Arizona’s affordable housing waitlists was featured on the front page of USA Today and inspired a bill in the state legislature that would have prioritized Arizonans for local housing programs. It received a 2023 Society for Advancing Business Editing and Writing (SABEW) honorable mention.
- Persistent coverage of developers displacing mobile homeowners prompted state legislators to increase the amount of money displaced families can receive from the state.

Won Pennsylvania’s Emerging Journalist Award in 2021 for accountability reporting on criminal justice and mental health.
